http://www.lesondutheatre.com/ Intermédialité et spectacle vivant Les technologies sonores et le théâtre (XIXe-XXIe siècles) Il s'agit d'étudier pour la pre­mière fois de façon sys­té­ma­ti­que la dimen­sion sonore du théâ­tre (domaine occi­den­tal), en concen­trant les recher­ches sur le long siè­cle (1875-2000) qui a vu les débuts de l'enre­gis­tre­ment et de la dif­fu­sion du son à dis­tance, le pas­sage du son acous­ti­que au son électrique, puis numé­ri­que, c'est-à-dire de nou­veaux modes d'écoute et de rap­ports entre l'écoute et la vision : sons et voix inter­nes aux spec­ta­cles, for­mes théâ­tra­les sono­res (émissions radio­pho­ni­que, réper­toire dis­co­gra­phi­que), bou­le­ver­se­ment des pra­ti­ques et des expé­rien­ces des spec­ta­teurs-audi­teurs. Objectifs : contri­buer à la néces­saire réé­cri­ture de l'his­toire du théâ­tre ; réexa­mi­ner his­to­ri­que­ment les rela­tions entre art du théâ­tre et tech­no­lo­gies ; pro­po­ser une métho­do­lo­gie pour l'étude des archi­ves sono­res. Le par­te­na­riat se fonde moins sur une répar­ti­tion des objets d'étude entre labo­ra­toi­res que sur la com­plé­men­ta­rité des com­pé­ten­ces (phé­no­mè­nes inter­mé­diaux/recher­ches théâ­tra­les) et des appro­ches (sound stu­dies /anthro­po­lo­gie des spec­ta­cles). This pro­ject will exa­mine, for the first time in a sys­te­ma­tic man­ner, the dimen­sion of sound in thea­tre (Western tra­di­tion). Our research concen­tra­tes on the long cen­tury (1875-2000) that saw the inven­tion of sound recor­ding and trans­mis­sion, as well as the pas­sage from acous­tic to elec­tric, then digi­tal, sound. This is to say that new modes of lis­te­ning and new rela­tion­ships bet­ween lis­te­ning and vision deve­lo­ped : sounds and voice are cen­tral in/to the dra­ma­tic piece ; aural thea­tre forms are inven­ted (radio broad­casts, pho­no­gra­phic reper­toire) ; audience-audi­tor prac­ti­ces and expe­rien­ces are alte­red and reconcei­ved. Our objec­ti­ves include the contri­bu­tion to a rewri­ting, dee­med neces­sary, of thea­tre's his­tory ; a his­to­ri­cal reexa­mi­na­tion of the rela­tions bet­ween the art of thea­tre and tech­no­logy ; the cons­ti­tu­tion of a metho­do­logy for the study/inter­pre­ta­tion of sound archi­ves.
